Concerning
A high-confidence public source raises problems with how its IPs are sourced, and a second, independent source supports it. From 13 dated, linked items of evidence, listed below.

Evidence
-
Synthient's DataImpulse profile said DataImpulse sources IPs through TraffMonetizer, which it had seen in modified Netflix builds and other apps, and gave TraffMonetizer a HIGH risk score based on a randomized sample of consent practices.
“DataImpulse is observed leveraging TraffMonetizer to source IP addresses.”
-
AppEsteem listed the Traffmonetizer app as a Deceptor on Windows (company Bytemarket, 12 Aug 2025) and macOS (14 Jan 2026), among other findings for not obtaining consent to sell users' traffic; neither listing was marked resolved, and DataImpulse was not named.
-
Traffmonetizer's terms page named its operator as Bytemarket OU dba Traffmonetizer, with an address in Tallinn, Estonia.
“Bytemarket OU dba Traffmonetizer”
-
IPinfo's post on shared residential proxy infrastructure named DataImpulse among six providers whose datacenter proxies it tracked as of December 2025, without findings about its residential pool.
“we track datacenter proxies from six major providers: Bright Data, ByteZero, DataImpulse, Decodo, Geonode, and Oxylabs”
-
AhnLab's ASEC reported attackers installing Traffmonetizer, with IPRoyal Pawns, Proxyrack and PacketStream, on poorly managed MS-SQL servers they had broken into; it described attackers misusing these apps and did not name DataImpulse.
“they have now shifted to employing proxyware from IPRoyal Pawns, Traffmonetizer, Proxyrack, and PacketStream companies”
-
Synthient's provider index (Wayback capture of 14 May 2026) listed DataImpulse with 3,198,923 observed IPs and DataImpulse Premium with 1,518,521.
“DataImpulse 3,198,923 IPs”
-
Proxyway's 2026 market research said DataImpulse sources proxies through an SDK and a bandwidth-sharing app, and its compliance table listed "TraffMonetizer app, ZoogVPN, SDK".
“The provider sources proxies through an SDK, as well as a bandwidth-sharing app.”
-
DataImpulse's homepage described "First-party residential IP pools" with "No third-party resellers involved", while Synthient and Proxyway named TraffMonetizer, an app run by Estonia's Bytemarket OÜ, as a DataImpulse source.
“First-party residential IP pools.”
-
The EWDCI (i2Coalition) website showed DataImpulse's logo, linking to dataimpulse.com, under Participating Members and Brands.
“Participating Members and Brands”
-
Proxyway's 2026 benchmark found DataImpulse's pool had one of the largest shares of IPs classed as hosting, business or military, noting a quality toggle it did not use.
“Proxyrack and DataImpulse were the worst offenders; the latter has a toggle to improve IP quality which we didn’t use.”
-
DataImpulse's Ethical Proxies page said every IP comes from a person who opted in through a disclosed SDK, is paid and can opt out, and that it audits every app and partner carrying its SDK; it named no app or SDK.
“Every IP belongs to a real person who chose to join through a clear, disclosed SDK. No hidden installs, no hijacked devices.”
-
DataImpulse's terms and privacy policy (undated) named Softoria LLC, described only as a company registered in the United States, as the party behind dataimpulse.com.
“The following terms and conditions govern all use of the Softoria LLC, a company registered in the United States (further – DataImpulse)”
-
Proxyway's 2026 market research described DataImpulse as a product of the Ukrainian developer Softoria, with the search API DataForSEO as its sister brand.
“A product of the Ukrainian dev house Softoria, DataImpulse runs on affordable plans with non-expiring traffic.”
Includes information from AppEsteem’s Deceptor list as it stood on 23 Oct 2026, restated in our own words without changing its findings, and used under AppEsteem’s Terms of Use.
